The Big Hole, Open Mine or Kimberley Mine is an open-pit and underground mine in Kimberley, South Africa, and claimed to be the largest hole excavated by hand.
I have took some picture while i was visited our mine site. have a look on bighole on month of March-2011.

after the entrance though the gate you can purchase/buy the ticket for visit in the mine and one small movie,
it took some charge around 75 ZAR which is equivalent of 10 US$.

Due to weathering, the hole has become partly filled with stones and rain, leaving the current remaining depth of 215 metres; as a result there is now some controversy as to whether it still qualifies as the largest hole. In 2005, historian Steve Lunderstedt claimed that the largest hole is in now at Jagersfontein Mine, another old South African diamond mine.

Rock Kimberlite is named after this mine's place. Kimberlite rocks are the potassic volcanic rocks and are the main carrier of the diamonds mostly founds in a Earth's crust in vertical structure known as a kimberlite pipe. But I have a question for you Nirav, Is this Big Hole can be consider as a Kimberlite pipe ?
